RvA Accreditation

The Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA) is the national accreditation body of the Netherlands. The RvA assesses and accredits laboratories, certification bodies and inspection organisations based on international standards, such as ISO/IEC 17025 for testing laboratories. This accreditation demonstrates that a laboratory is technically competent and delivers reliable, reproducible results.

For clients in sectors such as animal feed and food, accreditation is essential - for three key reasons:

  • Objective Quality Assurance
Accreditation provides independent confirmation that a laboratory operates according to internationally recognised quality standards and validated testing methods.
  • Demonstrable Reliability
Accredited reports are widely accepted by GMP+, FAMI-QS, BRCGS and other audit schemes. They help reduce the risk of non-compliance during inspections.
  • International Recognition
Through mutual recognition agreements between accreditation bodies worldwide (via EA, ILAC), RvA-accredited reports are also legally valid outside the Netherlands.

TLR is accredited under RvA registration number L059, which confirms that the laboratory in Ridderkerk is authorised to perform the methods listed in its accreditation scope. This scope is publicly available and reviewed periodically.
